Don't Paint Your Face with Lies, It's Unattractive

This is where I read. This is where I put on my shoes.
This is where I give you a stern look.
Anybody who has known me for any amount of time knows that there are a couple of things I don't tolerate well. Yes, I can work at a job for three and a half years taking constant verbal abuse day in and day out. I probably have the highest tolerance for stupidity and belligerence out of anybody I know. But, the two things I don't tolerate well are flakiness and lying. I work very hard, and if I set time aside for you, it's because I value you. If you can't give me the same respect, I probably won't pay you much attention later. The other thing that can almost guarantee that you won't hear from me in the future is lying. Now, I'm not talking about story-telling or embellishing, or even fabricating a yarn. I'm talking about cowardly lying. I'm talking about that ugly lying where someone tells you things to avoid conflict or having to own up to an uncomfortable fact.

This is a beautiful world we live in. And, I can't help but think the best of everybody and trust the things they say. I can't help it. I am an honest person, and like to live in a world where I feel comfortable and free because others are honest as well.

If you or someone you love is a liar—keep it away from me.
