We arrive to a scene full of forty and fifty year old people, one of the strangest moments of my concert going life. I don't know if they play one of Grace Potter's songs on KBUL93, or if they advertise for her shows at the Newgate Mall on Wednesday mornings. But, to show up to a show resembling something like a mixture of Led Zeppelin and Shakira if she were from the Southern United States rather than Colombia. As it grew closer to 8:00, there were more young people, but the environment remained saturated with older people. I didn't think that they allowed cameras in the venue, so I didn't take mine, and I left my phone in the car. But, Sara had her camera and took some great pictures that you can view here.
From the moment the band took the stage to the moment we left, the air was electric. Grace Potter is one of the greatest vocal artists today. And, her band is one of the best southern rock bands I've ever heard, let alone seen. One of the best parts of the show wasn't the upskirts from being so close to the stage and her dress being so short, it wasn't when she threw her pick out near the end of the show, and I got it, it was the sequence that they played during "Tiny Light" alluding to "You Shook Me" by Led Zeppelin. I can't explain how giddy it made me.

That's awesome! Only stage-based projetile I ever got was a Jebu CD that smacked a girl standing next to me in the face.
I grabbed that sucka and never looked back.
If you love her so much why don't you marry her? :)
